Seal!

Yesterday I was received into Holy Orthodoxy by chrismation. My heart is full of such humble gratitude for this gift. I will write more later but I just wanted to say "thank you" to all of you who have helped me on this journey.

My Orthodox name is Martha. First because I wanted to honor a dear family friend (named Martha) who has been like a second mother to me. More so since my mom and her only child died. Secondly, as the oldest of 3 girls I've spent a lot of time trying to get my sisters to co-operate! For this and a several other reasons I really identify with St. Martha of Bethany.

Oh! So wonderful. I think I was flying for about a week.

Many years!

We have an adult baptism at our parish next week. Can't wait.
